The Blame The Whiskey Story
Blame The Whiskey is an Americana band from New England. The group was founded in April 2017 by Rebecca Carter Burke and David Alex-Barton. David was the lead singer and guitarist in the popular Boston 80’s punk rock band The Outlets. Rebecca is an independent artist and former cast member in the musical “Texas”. They were initially looking to create an acoustic country duo but as their plans took off, so did the band. Blame The Whiskey has grown to a full 4 to 7 piece Americana/Country Band that also offers a Blame The Whiskey Acoustic Duo for smaller events.
Current core band members include:
Lead Singer, Rebecca Carter Burke
Guitar/Vocals, John Chebator
Bass/Vocals, Jose (Pepe) Hernandaz
Drums, Dave Hoitt
Guitar(s)/Piano/Vocals, Dave Lieb
Blame The Whiskey’s sound is big and unique. They are very well received, by local audiences, for their distinctive style and energy. Blame The Whiskey performs covers of Country/Americana songs as well as several original songs which have been featured on Boston's 101.7 The Bull and 92.5 The River.
