Album Release Event
On April 24, 2024, Rebecca Carter Burke will be hosting a public album release event to THANK supporters and promote her new Album, self titled "Rebecca Carter Burke".
Rebecca has invited her good friend, Suzanne McNeil, to kick off the event.
About the Artists:
Suzanne McNeil was born in Massachusetts but grew up on the east coast of Canada on the Celtic Island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where making music is as they say, " in the blood." Her love of people led her to a career in social work. However, it was her love of singing that pulled her away from her island home and sent her off to a life of road tours. Suzanne’s musical journey led her across the American Midwest where she was a little closer to Heaven - getting paid to sing! Thousands of miles and hundreds of performances provided her with the opportunity to hone her talents.
Suzanne has recorded 4 original full-length albums that are available through all digital outlets. She has been likened to the pop and rock roots of Sheryl Crowe with warm vocal undertones that are reminiscent of a sultry Peggy Lee. Suzanne’s soulful singing, roots-rock songwriting, and warm onstage charisma has made her a crowd favorite in the Boston area.
Rebecca Carter Burke is a Boston area Alt-Country artist. Her passion for music began at the age of eight when she joined her church choir in Thomson, GA. Her family later moved to East Texas, where she graduated from Palestine High School and went on to attend Lon Morris College to earn a degree in Musical Theater. Prior to making her move to Boston, Rebecca was a cast member in the musical "Texas" located in the Palo Duro Canyon.
It goes without saying that Rebecca draws on her southern roots with her music. Her sound is upbeat and soulful. Rebecca has been involved in numerous music projects in the Boston area, including her Alt Country band Blame The Whiskey, which was Limelight Magazine's 2020 Country Artist of the Year and a nominee for the New England Music Award's Country Act of the Year 2022.
In 2020, Rebecca launched her solo project "Rebecca Carter Burke". She has co-written and recorded several songs which have been featured on Boston's 101.7 The Bull's Backyard Country and heard around the world through numerous Indy Stations.
